How to Download YouTube Videos in Chrome. This wikiHow teaches you how to download a YouTube video onto your computer from within the Google Chrome web browser. I want to download all files (html, images, js, css) from one website. I can download each and every file separately. To save web page for offline reading in chrome android you have to follow following steps. Tap the drop-down menu here, and select Save as PDF.
1. Save Webpage in Firefox
All major browsers have the feature to save complete webpages. It’s a simple single click job and here’s how it’s done.
In Firefox, click on the Menu button > Save Page. The Save As dialog window will open.
How To Download Websites In Chrome
In the Save As dialog window, type in a name for the page you want to save and choose a location. From the Format drop-down, choose the type of file that you want to save the page as.
- Web page, complete
- Web page, HTML only
- Text files
- All files
Choose Web page, complete when you want to save the whole webpage along with pictures. This keeps the visual look intact in most cases, but it may not keep the HTML link structure of the original page or any server-side elements. Firefox creates a new directory where the page is saved to save pictures and other files necessary to show the whole webpage.
2. Save Webpages in Chrome
Chrome also has a Save As option (it works the same as Firefox). You can access it from Menu> More Tools > Save Page As. To speed things up, use the keyboard shortcut (Command + S on Mac and Control + S on Windows).
3. Use the Save Page WE Extension
You can make the process simpler and more reliable using an extension. Save Page WE works on both Google Chrome and Firefox. Once installed, just click on the extension icon from the toolbar to instantly download the entire webpage in a single HTML file (along with all assets like images, ads, and formatting).

4. Safari Reading List on Mac
While Safari’s Reading List featureUse Safari’s Reading List for Offline Reading on Your Mac & iPhoneUse Safari’s Reading List for Offline Reading on Your Mac & iPhoneWant to share articles between your iPhone and Mac? Use Safari's Reading List.Read More is one of the more user-friendly implementations for offline reading, it can be a bit confusing to use at first. By default, you need internet access to load articles saved in the Reading list.
So first, open Preferences, go to the Advanced tab, and turn on the Save Articles for Offline Reading Automatically feature to make sure all articles in the Reading List are available for offline use.
To add a page to the Reading List, click on the little + icon next to the URL field.
To read from the Reading List, click the Sidebar button and then the icon for the Reading List which resembles a pair of spectacles. To hide the list, click the Sidebar button again.
Safari uses iCloud to keep your Reading List the same on all your Mac computers and iOS devices that have Safari turned on in iCloud preferences. This means your Reading list will sync between your Mac and iPhone.
5. Safari Reading List on iPhone
You’ll find the Reading List feature in the bottom toolbar of the Safari app. To add an article to the Reading List, open it, tap on the Share button, and select Add to Reading List. Again, Safari doesn’t save Reading List articles for offline viewing by default.
To enable this feature, go to Settings > Safari > Automatically Save Offline.
Now, tap on the Book icon from the Safari toolbar and select the Reading List tab from the top. Now tap on any saved article to read it.
6. Save Complete Webpages as PDF
![How To Download A Webpage Chrome How To Download A Webpage Chrome](/uploads/1/3/3/9/133910007/839066469.png)
If you want to save a webpage in a way that’s easy to share and access on any platform, take the PDF route. It sounds like you just took a few steps back. But consider the advantages: you can read them on any device and even annotate the page and send it to someone in a flash, and it can be printed, shared, or just kept in a folder for later viewing.
You’ll find enough PDF tools on the web, but the simplest way is to use your browser’s Save to PDF option. It’s available on all major browsers like Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Choose the Print option, then select Save as PDF.
Save as PDF is a good feature, but it’s a workaround. When you save a page as PDF in this way, you get a lot of unnecessary elements like ads, headers, footers, and there are bound to be formatting issues. In times like this, it’s better to use an extension like Print Friendly & PDF.
The extension automatically removes all the unnecessary elements and sticks to the article text. When you click on the extension icon, you’ll see a pop up with the stripped down formatting. You can also individually remove elements. Click on the PDF button and then click on the Download as PDF button to save the article as a PDF.
If you’re using an iPhone, use the Shortcuts automation app to make this easier (learn to use Shortcuts with our simple guideHow to Master Siri Shortcuts and the Shortcuts App in iOS 12How to Master Siri Shortcuts and the Shortcuts App in iOS 12The new Shortcuts app and Siri Shortcuts feature in iOS 12 provide awesome ways to automate your iPhone or iPad.Read More). The Make PDF shortcut (search for it in the Gallery) will help you convert any webpage to a PDF.
Once the shortcut is installed and active, tap on the Share button, select Shortcuts, and then tap on Make PDF. Once you see the preview of the PDF, tap on Share, and then save it to an app like Apple Books for offline use.

7. Read Later With Pocket
Several of the solutions we have explored so far are counterintuitive. Why clutter your hard drive with extra files that are a hyperlink away? Read-it-later services like Pocket and Instapaper have made it easy to save a webpage and return to it when you have more time.
While Instapaper popularized the feature, it’s had a rough couple of years. Which is why we recommend you the now ubiquitous Pocket service. The Save to Pocket extension is available on all major browsers. And once you install the Pocket app on your iPhone or Android phone, you can use the share sheet to save a link from any app directly to Pocket.
The pocket app will maintain a list of all saved articles. The articles themselves will be saved for offline reading, stripped of formatting, ads, and other intrusive elements. Using Pocket, you get a much better reading experience, all while you’re disconnected from the internet.

- thanx thats what i was looking for
- Thanks for the article. I found it whilst looking (yet again) for something to replace, in some small way, the best page saver that ever existed - .maff (Mozilla Archive Format File) extension. When the now detested Mozilla Foundation broke the architecture that allowed that, and other, glorious little Add-On to work, it broke my years of ultra easy archiving immaculate whole pages (incl. the time and url appended to the page save in a header) in my extensive library-like folder trees in encrypted volumes right alongside anything else connected with the topic (e.g. text files, notes, .eml saves, screenshots, whatever), collected over the years. That treasure trove combined with the 'Everything' tool from David Carpenter of VoidTools, kept literally everything and anything I wanted to keep, at my fingertips with just a few keystrokes.. filtered steadily more precisely with every further keystroke. The loss to me of .maff means I increasingly have to use work-arounds with .mht. Because FF doesn't do that nearly as well as I.E., I have to leave the familiar comfort of my Add-On rich (but getting steadily poorer) FF and visit the page with I.E. to make a nearly .maff quality single-file .mht page save. All of which sadly demonstrates that the only constant in the universe is Change. And change isn't always a good thing.P.S. If there's any doubt I like local data, even this comment is being saved to a .txt file, with url at top, and tags in its name which will largely be a pasted snip of the most relevant text, and deposited into the most fitting relational place in folder tree. Perhaps with a shortcut dropped in another folder. Along with a messy folder-strewing whole-page .htm to augment a legacy .maff of this page, now of uncertain future utility as it can only be viewed with a legacy Firefox, which can only get more vulnerable to exploits as time goes on. So this wistful note may unexpectedly pop up in the future while I'm looking for something else with Everything, and perchance choose to doubleclick on the Path to visit that folder to open the found file; which could be opened in Everything too, and probably would be if busy, but.. like browsing a physical library, serendipity has a chance to work its stuff if you put yourself in the right place. You just may find things which you would otherwise never have encountered.

In Chrome, Save as Web page complete

HTTRACK works like a champ for copying the contents of an entire site. This tool can even grab the pieces needed to make a website with active code content work offline. I am amazed at the stuff it can replicate offline.
This program will do all you require of it.
Happy hunting!
Wget is a classic command-line tool for this kind of task. It comes with most Unix/Linux systems, and you can get it for Windows too. On a Mac, Homebrew is the easiest way to install it (
brew install wget
).You'd do something like:
For more details, see Wget Manual and its examples, or e.g. these:
You should take a look at ScrapBook, a Firefox extension. It has an in-depth capture mode.
Internet Download Manager has a Site Grabber utility with a lot of options - which lets you completely download any website you want, the way you want it.
- You can set the limit on the size of the pages/files to download
- You can set the number of branch sites to visit
- You can change the way scripts/popups/duplicates behave
- You can specify a domain, only under that domain all the pages/files meeting the required settings will be downloaded
- The links can be converted to offline links for browsing
- You have templates which let you choose the above settings for you
The software is not free however - see if it suits your needs, use the evaluation version.
I'll address the online buffering that browsers use..
Typically most browsers use a browsing cache to keep the files you download from a website around for a bit so that you do not have to download static images and content over and over again. This can speed up things quite a bit under some circumstances. Generally speaking, most browser caches are limited to a fixed size and when it hits that limit, it will delete the oldest files in the cache.
ISPs tend to have caching servers that keep copies of commonly accessed websites like ESPN and CNN. This saves them the trouble of hitting these sites every time someone on their network goes there. This can amount to a significant savings in the amount of duplicated requests to external sites to the ISP.
I like Offline Explorer.
It's a shareware, but it's very good and easy to use.

I have not done this in many years, but there are still a few utilities out there. You might want to try Web Snake.I believe I used it years ago. I remembered the name right away when I read your question.
I agree with Stecy. Please do not hammer their site. Very Bad.
Try BackStreet Browser.
It is a free, powerful offline browser. A high-speed, multi-threading website download and viewing program. By making multiple simultaneous server requests, BackStreet Browser can quickly download entire website or part of a site including HTML, graphics, Java Applets, sound and other user definable files, and saves all the files in your hard drive, either in their native format, or as a compressed ZIP file and view offline.
Teleport Pro is another free solution that will copy down any and all files from whatever your target is (also has a paid version which will allow you to pull more pages of content).
DownThemAll is a Firefox add-on that will download all the content (audio or video files, for example) for a particular web page in a single click. This doesn't download the entire site, but this may be sort of thing the question was looking for.
For Linux and OS X: I wrote grab-site for archiving entire websites to WARC files. These WARC files can be browsed or extracted. grab-site lets you control which URLs to skip using regular expressions, and these can be changed when the crawl is running. It also comes with an extensive set of defaults for ignoring junk URLs.
There is a web dashboard for monitoring crawls, as well as additional options for skipping video content or responses over a certain size.
The venerable FreeDownloadManager.org has this feature too.
Free Download Manager has it in two forms in two forms: Site Explorer and Site Spider:

Site Explorer lets you view the folders structure of a web site and easily download necessary files or folders.

You can download whole web pages or even whole web sites with HTML Spider. The tool can be adjusted to download files with specified extensions only.

Firefox can do it natively (at least FF 42 can). Just use 'Save Page'
